How It All Started

 Melodie A. Cook. CEO/Owner/Operator of Mother Mel's Wholesome Diner, LLC, a mobile food vendor based in Columbus, Ohio. The journey began in May 2021, the business prides itself on offering a premium assortment of health-conscious, casual cuisine. Mother Mel holds a Serve Safe certification from the Ohio Department of Development. Melodie is an alumnus of the October 2023 Incubate HER cohort #2, and June 2024 Accelerate HER cohort #3, with the Columbus Urban League. Her small business is recognized as an EDGE (Encouraging Diversity, Growth, and Equal Opportunity) business, in addition to being certified as an MBE (Minority Business Enterprise), VBE (Veteran-friendly Business Enterprise), and WBE (Women Business Enterprise) by the Minority Business Development Division.
